Melinda Oxendine of Rowland and Joseph Hunt of Fairmont were married on Sept. 10 at Northside Independent Church, the Revs. Timmy Hunt and James Earl Jones officiating.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Linda Hunt of Fairmont and Joey Jacobs of Fairmont, and the granddaughter of Peggy Hunt and the late Lathen Hunt of Rowland and Carlee Jacobs and the late Rudolph Jacobs of Fairmont and Junior Cummings of Fairmont. She attended South Robeson High School in Rowland and graduated from Robeson Community College and works for The Robesonian.
The groom-elect is the the son of James Robert Hunt and Patricia Hunt of Fairmont and the grandson of Hazel Hunt and the late Julish Hunt of Fairmont. He attended South Robeson High School in Rowland and works for Palmetto Paving in Conway, S.C.
The maid of honor was Ava Hunt. Bridesmaids were Sheena Hunt, Jessica Oxendine, Meagan Lewis, and Jennifer Lewis. The junior bridesmaid was Kela Locklear. The flower girl was Dynasti Chavis.
The best man was James Robert Hunt and groomsmen were Robert Dale Hunt, Kendale Hunt, Nicholas Oxendine, and Kelvin Townsend. The junior groomsmen was Garrison Hunt. Ushers were Hunter Locklear and Corbin Hunt.
The ringbearer was Patches Hunt.
Nikea Brayboy was the vocalist and the guitarist was Orland Brayboy.
The wedding was directed by Charles Locklear.
Flowers were provided by Flowers by Billy and Charles Locklear.
The photographer was Shevonne Oxendine. Programs were handed out by Mandi Hunt and Josietta Hunt.
Bridal showers was hosted by the mother of the groom a pantry shower, at their home, a giftcard shower hosted by the bridesmaids and mother of the bride at Northside Independent Church, a pool party shower was hosted by Jan Sellers and Kenneth Hunt at the home of Jan Sellers, and a lingerie shower hosted by the bridesmaids was at Texas Steakhouse.
The rehearsal dinner was held at Northside Independent Church and hosted by the grooms parents. The reception, hosted by the bride and her family, was held at the church.
