LUMBERTON — Mark L. Madden has been named vice president and city executive of First South Bank in Lumberton.
Madden, a Raeford native, will also serve as the senior commercial banking officer. He will be available to help Lumberton residents procure mortgages and refinance their home loans.
Madden has more than 25 years of banking experience and was the city executive for Waccamaw Bank in Chadbourn/Whiteville. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pembroke State University, which is now The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
Madden is a board member for the Boys Scouts and Dream Center, and a member of the Lions Club and Greater Chadbourn/Whiteville Chamber of Commerce.
Madden lives in Lumberton with his wife Lynne and two children, Jessica and Morgan.
First South Bank has been serving eastern North Carolina since 1902. It offers a variety of financial products and services, including a Leasing Company and securities brokerage services through an affiliation with a broker or dealer.
The bank operates through its main office headquartered in Washington and has 27 branch offices located throughout central, eastern, northeastern and Southeastern North Carolina.
