The funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Community Funeral Home Chapel of Fairmont, the Rev. Bruce Ford officiating. Burial will follow at the Alligator Cemetery in Marietta.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys Scott of the home; five sons, William Edward Scott and Sylvester Scott, both of Fairmont, Lee Morris Scott, of Sellers, S.C., Thomas McLellan of Richmond, Va., and Benjamin Cotton of Columbia S.C.; four daughters, Dorothy Scott and Michelle Scott, both of Fairmont, Selena Leggette of Fair Bluff, and Deloris McLellan of Dillon, S.C.; a brother, Billy Ray Scott, of Richmond, Va.; two sisters, Beatrice Ford of Winston-Salem, and Leola Oates of Fairmont; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 3:30 to 8 at Community Funeral Home.
