The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Airy Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Oxendine Cemetery on Oak Grove Church Road.
Rodgers was born Jan. 29, 1941, in Robeson County, the daughter of the late Connoly Lee Oxendine and Bertha Oxendine.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gwendolyn Long; and three brothers, Hartman Oxendine, Junior Lee Oxendine and Joseph Conley Oxendine.
Surviving are her children, William Don Rodgers of Pembroke, Venessa Rodgers of Lumberton, Mark Andrew Rodgers of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Marland Rodgers of Stafford, Va.; seven sisters, Hannah Woods, Strawdie Locklear, Gola Strickland, Rose Lee Johnson, Annie Lee Harrell, Ressie Dean Castro and Eva Rezzuto; five brothers, John Oxendine, Ralph Oxendine, Vernell Oxendine, Lee Alfred Oxendine and Delton Oxendine; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Carlie Jones.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Revels Funeral Home in Lumberton.
