The funeral was held this morning at Godwin Heights Baptist Church, Dr. Lynn Bullock officiated. Burial will followed at the New Hollywood Cemetery.
McCall was a member of Godwin Heights Baptist Church. She served as a legal secretary for the district attorney of Robeson County. She also worked with several lawyers of the Robeson Bar. She has been employed by the Department of Social Services and University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
The family said: "She also had a special talent for typing. She courageously fought cancer for three years. She was a wonderful mother and raised her youngest brother, Donnie."
Surviving are her husband, Martin McCall of the home; a daughter, Ann-Martin McCall of the home; two brothers, Donnie Blanton and his wife, Nancy, both of Wilmington, and Lucian Robert Blanton Jr. and his wife, Charlotte, both of Rocky Point; a sister, Doris Hardin and her husband, Jim, both of Rocky Point; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to Godwin Heights Baptist Church in Lumberton.
