Tabernacle Baptist Church, N.C. 711, will have a barbecue and chicken plate sale March 31 beginning at 10 a.m.

Everyone is invited.

The Carolina Youth Action Association will host a chicken bog on March 30-31 at the Southside Alumni Building, Rowland. Everyone is invited.

Dublin Highway of Holiness Church will have its Men's Day program on April 2 at 4 p.m.

The church is at 528 Twisted Hickory Road, Dublin.

The annual Spring Fest at Fairmont's First Presbyterian Church will be April 8 from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Women in the church meet each week to prepare for this event. Crafts for sale will include floral arrangements, wreaths, decorative bird feeders, custom-made and hand-painted furniture, decorated shopping bags and other items.

Foods will include casseroles, chicken and pastry, cakes, pies, candy, and ham and sausage biscuits. A chicken salad lunch is available for eating at the church or for taking out.

REVIVALS

Mt. Pelier Presbyterian Church's revival will be March 29-31 at 7 p.m.

Wednesday's speaker will be the Rev. Frank McKellar. The Rev. Ruby McArthur will be Thursday's speaker, and the Rev. Ella Baker will be the speaker on Friday.

A “Revelation Revival of God's Word” will be held free of charge on April 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Union Chapel Community Building.

The program will offer an in-depth study of God's Word and an understanding of how it reveals world events taking place today.

Everyone is asked to bring their King James Version of the Bible.

Welcome Holiness Church will have revival services April 2 at 6:30 p.m. and April 3-7 at 7:30 p.m.

The Revs. Curtis Oxendine and Timmy Hunt will be the speakers.

The Rev. Rocky Ray Williamson is Welcome's interim pastor. The church is on McGoogan Farm Road, between Shannon and Rennert.

Branch Street United Methodist Church will have revival April 2-5.

The Rev. Leonard Fairley, district superintendent, will be the guest speaker at 11 a.m. on April 2.

The Rev. Kenneth Locklear will be the speaker April 2 and 4 at 7 p.m. The Rev. Matthew Locklear will be the speaker April 3 and 5 at 7 p.m.

There will be special singing each night.

The church is at 1708 Case Street, Lumberton.

MUSIC

Life Line Church of God will host a benefit singing on March 31 at 7 p.m. for Restful Waters Church of God.

The program will feature Carla & Redemption with Carla serving as emcee for the event. Others who will sing include The Cummings Family and Bonita, and the East Lumberton Church of God Choir.

Life Line Church of God is at 871 N.C. 41 South, between Lumberton and Fairmont.

A “Keeping Company With New Spirit” anniversary singing will be held April 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Featured groups will be The Hunts, Crosstides, Embrace by Grace, and The Tyners.
