The sermon series, “Pentecost to the Present, the Seven Churches of The Revelation,” will be presented through Feb. 18, during the 11 a.m. worship service at Long Branch Baptist Church.

The lay leadership training workshops for the Rockingham District of the North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church, will be held Jan. 21 from 2 to 5 p.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1501 Turnpike Road, Laurinburg.
The district includes churches in Richmond, Scotland and Robeson counties.
Workshops will include: Cooperative Parish Ministry; Tools for Vitalizing Congregations and Transforming Communities, led by the Revs. Stephen Long, Sylvia Collins, Shirley T. Jones and Missionary Gary Wayne Locklear; Staff/Parish Relation Committees, led by the Rev. Leonard E. Fairley; and Finance Committee and Local Church Treasurers, led by Robby Lowry.
