Leroy “Cigarette” Strickland, 80, of 1237 N.C. 150 North, formerly of Robeson County and Chapel Drive in Thomasville, died Feb. 12, 2007, at Thomasville Medical Center.
The funeral was held Feb. 17 at Holly Hill Wesleyan Church, the Rev. Mark Mullins officiating. Burial followed in Clarksbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Surviving are four daughters, Judy Rakes of Greensboro, Darlene Hawkins of Archdale, Melinda Hunt of the home and Tracy Smith of Wallburg; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
