James Alvin Pruitte, 65, of 2050 S. Roberts Ave., died Aug. 5, 2007, at Duke University Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Floyd Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Tim Holden officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donnie Pruitte and Ella Mae Barber Pruitte.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Pruitte of the home; his sons, Chris Pruitte and his wife Carol, and James Kenneth “Ken” Pruitte and his wife Shirl, all of Laurel Hill, David McLamb and his wife Vicky, Albert McLamb and his wife Brenda, and Rodney McLamb and his wife Tina, all of Lumberton; his daughters, Paula Fairley and her husband Edward, and Robin Mishue, all of Laurinburg; sisters, Nellie Norton of Maxton, Shirley Goodson of Aynor, S.C., and Joann Bowsman of Hickory; and 16 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc. in Lumberton.
