LUMBERTON - The 2007 Advent and Noonday Prayer and Music services begin Dec. 5 at Trinity Episcopal Church. Advent is a time to look forward to the celebration of Christ's coming, and a time to be reminded to be awake for His second coming to the world.
Everyone is invited to these Advent services.
The schedule is:
n Dec. 5 - Jon Lloyd, director of youth ministry and assistant music director at First Presbyterian Church, Lumberton, will present a musical program and accompany himself on the guitar.
n Dec. 12 - Lumberton High School's Concert Choir, directed by Kelly Britt, will perform.
n Dec. 19 - The final musical program will feature soloist Louine Holloway of Godwin Heights Baptist Church.
Each service begins at 12:05 p.m. Trinity Episcopal is at 1202 North Chestnut Street.
A soup and sandwich lunch will be served in the parish hall following the music presentations.
