Ida Rose Bullard, 72, went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2008.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery Mausoleum.

Bullard was born on June 14, 1936, in Robeson County, daughter of the late Ruby and Walter Jackson. She was a proud member of Fork Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and choir member. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out, and a devoted homemaker.

Surviving are her loving husband of 51 1/2 years, William Lee Bullard; two sons, Walter Lee (Daffony) Bullard of Fort Mill, and Robert Franklin (Ginger) Bullard of Florence; a daughter, Melissa B. (Steve) Ateyeh of Florence; three sisters, Mary Louise (Thomas) Timmons of Sumter, Rebecca Ann (Lindsay) Stone of Maxton, N.C. and Jean (Dennis) Norton of Little Rock; a brother, W.C. (Rosie) Jackson of Rowland, N.C.; and six grandchildren, Clay, Zackary, Dori, Ben, Madeline and Will, who were the joy of her life.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
