LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Claws and Paws Rescue will hold a pet adoption on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Southeastern Veterinary Hospital on N.C. 211.
Adoption fees are $35 for dogs and $25 for cats. All animals are current with shots, heart-worm free and tick protected. Donations of pet food, blankets and other pet supplies are welcomed.

Fundraiser for Boys & Girls Club
LUMBERTON — JCPenney store customers will have the chance to contribute to the Boys & Girls Club of Lumberton while saving money on store purchases during a two-week period that begins on Sunday.
Customers will be able to buy a $5 coupon that will save them 20 percent on almost all in-store, online and catalog purchases from Sunday until Sept. 28. All proceeds from coupons will be donated directly to the Boys & Girls Club of Lumberton’ afterschool tutor program
On Sept. 28, has been designated as the “Day of Giving Back,” staff from the Boys & Girls Club of Lumberton will be at the JCPenney store to greet customers and provide information about the club.
