LUMBERTON — Copies of the 2008 IRS Farmers Tax Guide are available for pick up at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Robeson County Center, in the O. P. Owens Agriculture Center, Highway 72 West.
According to Nelson Brownlee, Extension area farm management agent, there have been quite a few changes in the tax laws this year, and some of them affect farmers. Whether you do your own federal tax returns or you just check behind your tax preparer to make sure they do it right, you need to be aware of how the tax laws affect you.
