The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mack and Betty Hyatt of Lumberton. She attended Lumberton High School.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mike and Pat McWhirter of Peoria, Ill. He works for the United States Army.
The wedding will be 3 p.m. Jan. 14 at The Life Center in St. Pauls.
