LUMBERTON — Kelly Register, of East Seventh Street, reported on Thursday that someone tried to break into his home while he and a family member sat in their living room, according to a police report.
Register told police that an alarm went off on a living room window about 9 p.m., and the window moved up as if someone were trying to open it, according to the report.
n Thefts
LUMBERTON — Sarah McGeachy, of Lombardy Village Road, reported on Thursday that someone broke a window in her 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis and took a $100 stereo, a $125 set of speakers and a $98 amplifier, according to a police report.
McGeachy reported $150 damage to the window of the car.
LUMBERTON — Amanda Petrie, of Southern Marble Works on North Pine Street, reported on Wednesday that someone entered a storage building on the business’ property and took a $400 cigarette machine and $500 in road construction equipment, according to a police report.
LUMBERTON — Melisa Morneault, of Butler Nursery Road in Fayetteville, reported on Thursday that someone took $1,500 in collector coins from her vehicle while it was parked at Campbell’s Used Cars on North Pine Street, according to a police report.
