County agency seeks applications for use of grant money

LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention is seeking applications for the use of $426,621 for fiscal year 2012-2013 that will be used for programs that serve delinquent and at-risk youths in Robeson County .

Programs include substance abuse treatment, home-based services, restorative intervention, structured after-school care, and psychological assessment services.

All local public agencies, nonprofits, and local housing authorities are eligible to apply. Applications must include descriptions on how the proposed program or service will address risk factors associated with family management problems, availability of drugs and alcohol, friends who engage in problem behavior, and lack of commitment to school.
