n Stabbing
MAXTON — Michael Locklear, 29, reported on Tuesday that someone approached him from behind and stabbed him while he was walking down Sherman Road about 7:30 p.m., according to a sheriff’s report.
Locklear told deputies he didn’t see or hear anyone approach him, and had no idea who may have stabbed him.
n Break-in
LUMBERTON — Dontay Oxendine and Johnie Huggins, of Meadow Road, reported on Wednesday that someone broke into their home and took $950 in jewelry; a $60 jewelry box; a $60 picture frame; a $40 digital camera; a $45 digital camera; an $85 printer; a $100 television; a $300 Xbox 360 game console; and $500 in DVDs, according to a police report.
n Car theft
LUMBERTON — Rufus Loyd, of Cox Lane, reported on Tuesday that someone took his 1995 Ford Mustang valued at $4,000 from the Sun Do gas station on Roberts Avenue, according to a police report.
Loyd told police he’d picked up two women in Red Springs who needed a ride, and stopped at the gas station to get gas. Loyd left his keys in the car while he went into the gas station, and said his car was gone when he walked back outside.
