LUMBERTON — The inaugural Book ‘Em North Carolina event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday in the A.D. Lewis Auditorium at Robeson Community College.

About 75 authors, including bestselling authors Carla Neggers and Michael Palmer, are expected to participate in book signings, talks and panel discussions. Proceeds from the book sales will go to literacy campaigns and anti-crime measures in Robeson County.

The event is free and open to the public.

RED SPRINGS — Vendors are needed for the Red Springs Street Festival, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 28 on East Third Avenue.

LUMBERTON — A Taste of Robeson will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on March 12 and March 13 at the Bill Sapp Recreation Center.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Children younger than 3 can get in free. There will be food from various restaurants and door prizes. Proceeds will benefit the Robeson County Church and Community Center.

PEMBROKE — The River Roots Arts Guild is inviting performers to audition for the River Roots Emerging Artists Showcase.

The showcase will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on March 9 at the Chavis Center Annex Building at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. There will be performances, arts, crafts and food. It will be free.
