Flea market reopens

FAIRMONT — Fairmont is reopening its flea market March 31 at 7 a.m. on the museum ground next to the post office.

There is no charge for vendors, who must provide their own tables. No food can be sold.

Free seminar held at RCC

LUMBERTON — A free seminar on securing loans for small businesses and entrepreneurs will be held at the Robeson Community College Workforce Development Center on March 28 from 1 to 4 p.m.

The three-hour session will provide information on alternative access to capital for those who have been in business for fewer than two years; have insufficient collateral; credit scores below the bank minimum; higher debt to income ratios; non-standard cash flow revenue streams; or are seeking smaller loan amounts than what lenders may be interested in lending.

Job fair to be held in Maxton

MAXTON — The Lumber River Workforce Development and the town of Maxton will hold a job fair on Wednesday at the Maxton Learning Center at 305 Hooper St. for Strata Solar. It will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The company wants to hire between 60 and 90 installers for the construction of several large-scale solar farms throughout the region.
