Thomas Lowery, 48, of 363 Bollinger Ave., departed this life on Jan.

16, 2009, in Houston, Texas.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rock Church of God, the

Revs. Roosevelt Scott, Lasaundri Hunt, Waymon Oxendine and Tedrick

Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Lowery family cemetery.

Thomas worked in construction.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stacey Carter and his

step-father, James Ree Hunt Sr.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Lowery, his loving mother, Annie Dale

Hunt; three sisters, Glenda Hunt, Beatrice Locklear and Mary Kellogg,

all of Lumberton; two brothers, James Ree Hunt Jr., and Shannon Clark,

both of Lumberton; four nephews, Jermaine Hunt, Terry Freeman, Gavin

Clark, all of Lumberton and Nicholas Freeman of Bladen County; a

niece, Ashley Freeman; five step children, Tiwanna Kidd and Steve

Brown, both of Texas, Darrick Scott of Indiana, Charles Brown and

Brannagan Scott, both of Lumberton.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Revels

Funeral Home in Lumberton.
