Earnest Dial, 77, 148 Canal Road, was born Jan. 3, 1935, and departed this life on April 6, 2012.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Apostle Church. Burial will follow in the family cemetery behind his house on U.S. 74.
He was the son of the late Harlon Dial and Rebecca Locklear. He was preceded in death by two sons, Micheal D. and Brian C. Dial.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lois Dial; a son, Earnest Dial Jr. (Betty) of Pembroke; two daughters, Chrissa Lewis (Stacy) of Fairmont and Betty Jane Dial (Tim) of Lumberton; a brother, Sonny Locklear of Red Springs; two sisters, Virginia D. Carter and Arlene Locklear, both of Pembroke; seven grandchildren, Micheal Lewis, Marcus Lewis, Justin Dial, Melissa Lewis, Earnest Dial III, Micah Lewis, and Serenity Dial; three great-grandchildren, Tahrissolynn Lewis, Macaden Johnson and Jewelara Lewis; and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Revels Funeral Home in Pembroke.

Edvard “Pee Wee” Hunt, 67, of Fairmont, died April 7, 2012, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, S.C.
The funeral will be 7 p.m. Monday at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont, the Revs. James Sampson and Gary
Deese, and Brother Donnie Lee Hunt officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fair Point Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Nora Bell Locklear Hunt; and stepmother, Flowers Hunt.
Surviving are his wife, Deloris O. Hunt; two sisters, Arnetha Lacy of Lumberton and Cathy McDowell of
Fayetteville; a special uncle, Welton “Hobo” Hunt of Fairmont; and a special cousin and care giver, Elizabeth “Cookie” Hunt of Fairmont.

Stella Jane Oxendine, 99, of Pembroke, died April 6, 2012, at Southeastern Hospice House.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, the Revs. Steve Strickland and Dr. Michael Cummings, and Brother Harlie W. Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Burnette family cemetery.
Surviving are her four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at Mt. Airy Baptist Church.
