This is so tipical of Lumbee people. Airing the dirty laundry in the public forum pages. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Why is it that we of all three races in robeson county, must be the ones to show our ignorance in the public forums. You won't see the blacks or the whites go for the jugular vein of their own people on this blog! This is rediculus. Settle your differences in private, not where those who would not have your best interest at heart can laugh at you. My kindergarden grandchildren get along better than you supposedly grown up adults. No wonder we have so many churches fragmenting themselves amoung the Indian people. We silmply don't know how to get along well with other Indians. It's sort of like the ole' Shoot yourself in the foot mentality. But your real problem is you don't know how to bridle your mouth. What is accomplished by saying the mean sprited things you do about each other? How will it effect others around you that don't engage in this kind of stupidity. GOD HELP THE LUMBEE.

My LREMC light bill has not decreased since he has been on the Board. So is that all his fault? Everyone has their own personal opinions and this is ugly. Making personal attacks is not benefiting anybody but the Devil. We all have heard good and bad on both sides. I don't only keep up with our elected officials at voting time - its a constant check. Do I feel our County Commissioners have always made the best decisions concerning me individually - no - but I am only one of many they have to consider when making decisions. What do you think they have not done? Really - please say so. This county is in better shape financially than most counties in our surrounding area and the jobs get done. So what can you say the Board is NOT doing? Robeson County is no different employment wise than any other county in this state. Try listing what your candidate has or can do for the county instead of bashing the opponent. Don't give the Devil anything else to smile about.

If Raymond is so concerned about the Robeson County residents, and he also works for the Public Schools of Robeson County. Why didn't he ask the other county commissioners for a 1 cent sales tax and make it for just to keep the teachers and teacher assistant in the classroom, like other counties did to keep teachers and teachers assistant in their county. OH but he help spend our tax dollars for the DSS building I guess that is more important than our children at school.

It's just odd that so many people that write in seem to know so much about how this man runs his personal business. How in sam hill would they know? they only know what they see on the outside. They probably know more about this man personal business than he do! Wonder what dog they got in this race, cause they writing a book full of good things about the man, but you never hear from these people except election time,...when they have something to gain from it. pray, children, pray...

I couldn't agree with this post more! Raymond Cummings has proved his good decision making for the past 16 years, he is also a man of his word. It's hard to please everyone but I know for a fact he tries to! He may get criticized for making a decision to build the new DSS building but people need to look at the good it has done for our county! If you were ever in the old building you seen the shape it was in, there was mold and mildew, the ceilings were falling in. Our county was being sued because of that building, workers were in a office with 3 other workers and when people had to come in and talk about problems in their home they had to deal with all these other people hearing it! The state offered to pay 66% of the new building, saving tax payers 10 million dollars so I think Mr. Raymond's decision was definitely a good one! Raymond also doesn't have to go out and bribe people with money and cakes to get votes, he talks about what he can and wants to do for the people. He's a big supporter of lowering taxes which is something we all need. Voters, don't allow yourself to be bribed with money, the candidate that is doing all this is simply making fools out of the people because he thinks that he can when our votes over that easy, our vote is important and shouldn't be won over that easy. Vote for the man that is actually speaking on the issues of our county and not that man that is trying to blind you with money! If a candidate can't discuss important issues he doesn't need to run! And if a candidate has filed for bankruptcy twice and owes several people money he needs to be using the money he's throwing to people to work on his personal issues! A man that can't handle his own money isn't deserving if such a good position! Re-elect Raymond Cummings, the best man for the position!
