SAN ANTONIO — Air Force airmen Azriel M. Mims, of Lumberton, and Ryan Christopher Davis, of Maxton, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, in San Antonio.

Mims and Davis completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate degree in Applied Science through the Community College of the Air Force.

Davis has transferred to Fort Sam Houston, where he will complete his training in Medical Logistics. He is the son of Dan Davis and Windy Oxendine Davis.

Mims is the son of Mary and Dennis Mims.
