LUMBERTON — Wendy Pridgen was honored at the Robeson County Republican Women in the North Carolina Spring Board Meeting and Tribute to Women in Durham May 4 to May 6.

It was an opportunity for Republican women throughout the state to gather for fellowship.

Pridgen started the Robeson County Republican Women’s Club, served as president of the Lower Cape Fear Republican Women’s Club and was active in the New Hanover Republican Party.

LUMBERTON — Julie Rigsbee, a Lumberton resident, was installed as the treasurer at the 110th annual Convention of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs — North Carolina. Rigsbee is the past president of the club’s Lumberton chapter and a former member of the Lumberton Junior Women’s Club and Lumberton Juniorettes.

Rigsbee has served on the General Federation of Women’s Clubs for 29 years. She has been an Education in Community chairwoman and a District 7 president, and is an honorary life member.
