This nation prospered before Jesus Christ was pushed away

To the Editor,

Looking at human nature the establishment of the United States is truly miraculous. The founders, numbering around 250 men from the 13 colonies, some several hundred miles apart, came together by their own financial means and stood up to the world power on their day with one accord: Almighty God was invoked, independence was declared, revolution was wrought and our nation was established. Then came a 200-plus year journey of blessing and prosperity. Even in hard times or times of war, you can see the hand of God guiding and protecting.

Could this be done today? Would people be willing to put all on the line for each other and their prosperity. Our spoiled selfish culture today is led by media that is bent on society’s destruction even as it thrives and prospers off the ignorance of the very ones that follow and feed it. Intelligence and character are locked outside. Immaturity, density, and perverseness are given the head chair at the table.

We are told what to eat, what to wear, and where to buy it. The dumber they make us, the more we wear their tags, full as a screen door on a submarine. Ball teams and ball games, movies and movie stars, performers and singers, all worshipped and funded with no return on your investment. Our undeserving heroes, with great appreciation for our money spent, then show us how wicked we need to be. And hey. We love it. Don’t stop the party.

The emperor is wearing no clothes but the only infraction today would be to admit it. Don’t declare the truth, it’s offensive. Tolerance won’t tolerate it . Weren’t things better, all around, before we pushed Christ Jesus out of the picture?
