LUMBERTON —The Carolina Civic Center will host “5 Guys Singing,” a tribute to Broadway, Motown, country and gospel music, on June 29 and June 30 starting at 7 p.m. at 315 N. Chestnut St.

Tickets are $15 for general admission, but the group ticket price is $10 each if 10 or more are purchased at the same time. Tickets can be purchased in-person or by telephone with credit card or cash from 1 to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the administrative offices in the theater’s second floor, or by calling the Civic Center at 910-738-4339.

LUMBERTON — Lumberton High School will host the Family Fourth Celebration in the Alton Brooks Stadium on July 3 starting at 7:30 p.m.

The Carolina Breakers will perform and the Ranger Group Free Fall Parachute team will descend into the stadium at 8:20 p.m. The 20-minute firework show will begin at 9:30 p.m.

Admission is free.

LUMBERTON — The Lumbee Regional Development Association will host its fourth annual Pembroke Bicycle Ride on June 30 at 7:30 a.m. starting at 636 Prospect Road.

The 20 mile round-trip ride will go to the Department of Social Services.

Participants must be at least 16 years. Registration is $5.

LUMBERTON — The Community Health Education center will host as “Smoothie Day” as part of Dairy Month on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event, designed to promote the importance of dietary calcium rich foods, will offer opportunities to sample smoothies, nibble on healthy snacks, and pick up recipes and healthy nutrition tips.

There will also be a photo contest of the best milk mustache.
