LUMBERTON — Justin Goins, of 101 D Henry St. in Latta, S.C., was arrested and charged on Tuesday with breaking into a home on Lowe Road on June 2 and taking items valued at more than $4,000, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

Goins is free on a $7,000 bond.

n Break-ins

LUMBERTON — German Gonzalez, of Edgewood Street, reported on Tuesday that an acquaintance assaulted him and caused $3,500 damage to a 2001 Nissan Quest while it was parked in his yard, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Tommy Hammonds, an employee of Lumberton, reported on Tuesday that someone removed the copper from the motor control center of the River Pumping Station, causing $15,000 damage, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Katherine Bracero, of Kirkland Drive in Conway, S.C., reported on Tuesday that someone busted a window of her 2005 Honda Civic with a brick while it was parked at Luther Britt Park at 671 Branch St. and took a $100 purse containing $18 cash and identification cards, according to a police report.

Bracero reported $300 damage to the window.
