n Arrest

LUMBERTON — Bobby Deshawn Jones, 19, of 2122 Turner Place, was arrested at Southeastern Regional Medical Center on Tuesday and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping, according to a police report.

He is being held at the Robeson County jail under a $50,000 bond.

n Fraud

LUMBERTON — India Scott, of Farmer’s Furniture at 1725 Roberts Ave., reported on Tuesday that someone purchased items valued at $2,422.69 with a fraudulent check, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Cherry Miles, of All Occasions Bridal at 312 N. Elm St., reported on Tuesday that someone took a checkbook from behind the counter of the business and used the checks to deposit $2,747 into several accounts, according to a police report.

n Theft

LUMBERTON — Vernon Mosier, of Cameron, reported on Tuesday that eight checks that had been stolen from his checkbook had been used to purchase goods valued at a total of $524.57, according to a police report.

n Vandalism

LUMBERTON — Elizabeth Herndon, of Village Walk West, reported on Wednesday that someone broke the window of her 2003 Ford F250 while it was stopped at the intersection of Kahn Drive and Roberts Avenue, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Sandy Singletary, of Aaron’s at 1976 N. Roberts Ave., reported on Tuesday that someone tried to pry open the back door of the business, causing $500 damage, according to a police report.

n Break-ins

LUMBERTON — Sofie Bethea, of Dillon, S.C., reported on Saturday that someone broke into her 2005 Chevy Trailblazer while it was parked at Hong Kong Buffet at 2928 N. Elm St. and took two laptops valued at $1,200, according to a police report.
