LUMBERTON — COMtech and Biggs Park Mall will host a cornhole tournament at the mall on Saturday to benefit young children and support economic development in Robeson County.
The double-elimination tournament will begin at 10 a.m. Each team will consist of two players, and only amateurs are allowed to participate. Pairings will be determined by drawings from a hat. Rules are set by the American Cornhole Association.
The first place team wins a $200 Biggs Park Mall gift card for each player, and the second place team members each win a $125 gift card. The entry fee is $20 for each player, and $25 for each player on the day of the event.
Beer will be sold at the event. Food and other beverages may be found in the mall or at nearby restaurants.
LUMBERTON — Franny’s Friends will hold a small pet adoption and yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m Saturday at Carolina Pickers at 2500 Fayetteville Road.
All donations of pet supplies, old and new, are greatly appreciated. Individuals to provide foster care for the animals are also needed.
