Nothingbutthetruth I don't owe you any of my tax dollars to be recognized...lol you don't know who you are? I know what youre talking about when lumbees should be fully recognized but people like you and your comment has turned me against the recognition of lumbees, i had thought that lumbees should be federally recognized but if most lumbees think or act like you then they don't deserve my hard earned tax dollars. Matter a fact I don't owe you nothing..racists comments is the reason people cant get along in this nation...i bet you're an Obama person too...

Sorry mkadymclean but you seem to unclear or mis read what I wrote, the comment I wrote was towards Mr. Ross. When I wrote and I quote (the white man ) It was repeating what he said in his sarcastic remark I'm not racist nore a Obama supporter and I never asked for your tax dollars, And for you to say I dont know who I am, I have been raised and taught by my elders I was a child who payed attention when my elders spoke so I know who I am, Do you know what a Lumbee is? It is not just being NAtive American there is a whole lot more to it we are a Mixture of tribes who joined together to survive there was strength in numbers, our ancestors made sacrifices for us and me personally all I want is for there dream to be fully recognized with no limitation set in place to come true, give the Lumbee the same respect the Cherokee receive I dont want 40 acres and a mule I want respect and I will pay for my mule and forty acres with my own hard earned money

Ladies and gentlemen... My name is Ross, I want to be your Tribal Chairman. Here are a few things I'd like to do for "our people". End racial discrimination, yep there will be diversity on the tribe council, we will have a makeup that represents the lumbee mixture. No more taking money from Washington(the white man). We will rekindle our relationship with other races and stop demanding that they respect us and recognise us, since they really don't care anyway. End the notion that WE have pride in our race and calling other "RACISTS" if they have pride in theirs. No money to teach "how to be indians" and ENDING THE MILLIONS THE TRIBE GETS FROM WASHINGTON... If we want to help "our people" THEN WE ARE GOING TO RAISE THE MONEY LIKE EVERYONE DOES THROUGH DONATIONS... End the lie that we are VICTIMS and minorities, everybody knows we are the MAJORITY in Robeson County and our failures or accomplishments are because of our decisions and not because of our race.

My name is Ross... and I approve this message.

DONATIONS??? I thought you were against "handouts", Ross? In every comment you make, you say everyone should "Earn" their money. Now you are asking for handouts. Just as I always expected.... When it benefits Ross, it's ok.... Just sayin'.

@RossIsRight: Too bad, Ross. You won't get any votes because you make too much sense.

Well you will never get voted in. The Lumbee people deserve to get full recognition. And the lies that are being taught are not Lumbee lies they are lies of the white man as you call it, our children are taught in school that Columbus discovered America, How can you discover something that already exists? Oh lets see I jump in my car and drive around till I get lost then all of a sudden I see a house, so I pull my car in the drive way, and claim it as my new home and drive the previous owners in to the swamps! I wonder if I would get away with it by saying I discovered it
