LUMBERTON — The Studio One Lab of the Public Schools of Robeson County will hold auditions for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” for seventh through 12th graders at the Purple Door Studio building at 209 N. Elm St. on Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. each day and Saturday at 3 p.m.

LUMBERTON — Purple Door Studios will hold an open house offering the opportunity to tour the facility, meet the teachers and register for classes on Thursday anytime between 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 209 N. Elm St.

New classes and workshops for all ages include ballet, tap, jazz/modern and hip-hop, as well as workshops on acting and dance performance. Classes are offered daily for ages 6 and up, and creative movement classes are offered on Saturdays for dancers or singers 3 to 5 years old.

LUMBERTON — The 12th annual Saddletree Pow-Wow will be held on Sept. 14 starting with a gospel music group at 7 p.m. at the Saddletree Community Center at 1031 Mt. Olive Church Road. The event will continue on Sept. 15 at noon at the same location.

There will be arts and crafts, food vendors and games for the family, as well as MC Tony Clark providing music.
