Theft

LUMBERTON — Gary Lewis, of Alamac Road, reported on Wednesday that his car was taken at gunpoint while he was stopped at the intersection of Lee Circle and McDougald Street, according to a police report.

Fraud

LUMBERTON — Ginny Stallings and Pamela Hammonds, of the Department of Motor Vehicles at 220 N. Chestnut St., reported on Wednesday that a customer tried to pay with a counterfeit $20 bill that person said he received from an ATM, according to a police report.

Break-ins

LUMBERTON — John Leach, of Main Street, reported on Wednesday that someone broke into a storage building and stole a $180 weed eater, a $125 chainsaw, a $75 skill saw and a $35 drill, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Mark Baker, of the city of Lumberton at 1100 N. Cedar St., reported on Wednesday that someone stole a $400 weed eater, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Betty Hall, of North Chestnut Street, reported on Wednesday that someone broke into her home and stole a $600 television, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Vernon McNeill, of N.C. 41 South and Lacy Britt, of N.C. 72 East, reported on Wednesday that someone broke into a vehicle parked at a body shop at 404 Chippewa St., causing $300 of damage to a window, according to a police report.
