The 28th annual Robeson Community College Foundation’s 2012 Clifford Bullard Memorial Tournament is scheduled for Thursday at Cliffwood Golf Course. It was incorrectly reported in From the Fringe last week that it would be at Pinecrest Country Club, and we apologize for that, especially since the tournament honors Clifford Bullard, who designed and constructed Cliffwood.
The cost is $75 a player, and the format is four-person superball, with teams consisting of an A, B, C and D player. The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Registration begins at 11 a.m. that day, with lunch being served at 11:30 a.m.
The entry fee includes lunch, mulligans, ladies tee, cart, refreshments and prizes. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.
Sponsorship opportunities range from $100 to $5,000. Proceeds go to the foundation and its mission to help students financially.
