Co-Op meeting to be held today

PEMBROKE — There will be an American Indian Mothers/Three Sisters Co-Op meeting today from 5 to 6 p.m. at the N.C. Indian Cultural Center. The topic of discussion will be “Women and Hispanic Farmers and Ranchers Claims.”

A similar meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Terry Collins building on N.C. 71 in Shannon.

Woods hosts public forum

MAXTON — County Commissioner Noah Woods, who represents District 4 and is chairman of the county board, will hold a public forum for those in the Red Hill community on Monday at 7 p.m. at the home of Bender Ray Chavis at 1636 Old Red Springs/Maxton Road.

The commissioner will receive comments and answer questions regarding matters of interest to residents of Robeson County.

Car seat check on Saturday

LUMBERTON — National Seat Check Saturday will be held on Saturday at Lumberton Chevrolet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Parents and caregivers can bring their child, and the car seat and vehicle in which they ride, to make sure that the child is being correctly restrained during travel.
