The third Debutante Ball sponsored by the Sigma Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. was held on June 16 at the Heritage Building on South Main Street in Fairmont. Deja Shanice Lewis of Fairmont, center, was the winner, and Mikella Townsend of Lumberton, third from right, was the second runner up.
