LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office will collect unused, unneeded and expired prescription drugs at Biggs Park Mall on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

The effort is to enhance safety and to protect water supplies. More information about ways to prevent prescription drug abuse and additional drop-off locations can be found at www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/.

LUMBERTON — Three Robeson County offices will be closed today to allow for the departments to be moved to their new home at the county’s old Department of Social Services building on N.C. 711. Those offices to be closed include Planning and Zoning, Inspections, and Environmental Health.

The offices will reopen for business on Monday at 8:15 a.m.
