Mary Louellen Ward Rogers, 84, of Sandy Springs, formerly of Gastonia, passed away Sept. 21, 2012, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

A private graveside service for the family only will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bullock family cemetery in Fairmont, the Rev. Malcolm Bullock officiating.

She was born on April 1, 1928, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lloyd Ward of Bessemer City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, A.R. Bullock Jr., and two sons, “Rowland” Bullock III and Milton Anderson Ward Bullock.

She is survived by two daughters, Katie Elizabeth Cook and husband Tom Cook of Tucker, Ga,. and Martha McLeod Bullock of Sandy Springs; a grandson, Andrew Ward Panella of Knoxville, Tenn; a granddaughter, Melody Brooke Bullock of Leesburg, Va; a daughter-in-law, Maria Bullock of Leesburg, Va.; and a great-granddaughter, Chayenne Love Redmond of Leesburg, Va.

The family asks that friends join them for a time of visitation at First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall in Fairmont following the service from 11 to noon.
