President is pushing the country away from God

To the Editor,

I wish to comment on the letter by Ms. Evelyn Smith in the Sept. 27 edition of The Robesonian. We are living in difficult times — more difficult than we have in many, many years.

President Obama’s platform was change and we definitely have had that, but it has been a change for the worst. I want the people of this county to think about all the things that are going on now — lying, refusing to allow Christians to have prayer in some public places, high unemployment, and so many other unethical things. We shouldn’t vote for a party, but for the person most capable for the job — and he definitely isn’t the one.

Remember, at the Democratic Convention they actually had to vote whether to allow God’s name to be used in their platform. Why would anyone vote for a leader who believes in killing babies, refuses Christians to pray at most public places in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and who doesn’t stand for the biblical concept of marriage — one man, one woman? If you have been redeemed by His blood, how, in all good conscience, can you vote for someone like Obama?

It seems also as if our country is trying to isolate ourselves from Israel. You can rest assured that we will suffer consequences if we do, for the Lord has promised in his word that those who bless Israel, he will bless and those who curse Israel, he will curse. He might use Obama to judge us for we have put him out of almost everything that makes our country dear. He made this world and he gives us every breath that we take, so think on these things before you cast your vote for Obama.

It seems as if he is more interested in raising funds to be re-elected than he is in seeing about our protection from the Brotherhood of the Muslims. If possible, view “The Project” and you just might gain a little more enlightment.

Have you read the Koran? You seem to be prejudice against Muslims. How can you post a comment claiming to be being Christ-like while being so judgemental. Hypocrite or confused? Definitely not a Christian according to what the Bible says one should be. I haven't seen the President kill any babies. I pray daily in many different places, and the President has not told me or sent anyone to tell me to stop praying. You chose not to pray on your own.

Wonderful. The truth is very welcome. My sentiments exactly. Praise the Lord.
