LUMBERTON — A Maxton woman has been charged with murder in the death of a 44-year-old Maxton man who was found dead in his home last month.
Crystal Gail Locklear, 27, of 19 Contour Lane, was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Timothy Ray McCutchen, according to Robeson County Sheriff Kenneth Sealey. She is also charged with misdemeanor larceny.
McCutchen was found dead on Sept. 19 in the living room of his rental home at 12096 N.C. 130 by his landlord. An autopsy showed that he died of blunt-force trauma to the head, according to sheriff’s Maj. Howard Branch. Sealey said that the investigation was continuing and that he could not release a motive for the murder.
Sealey said Locklear was arrested at Grace Court Apartments at Furman Drive without incident and is being held at the Robeson County jail without bond. He first court appearance was Tuesday.
Sheriff’s Detective James F. Obershea is being assisted during the investigation by special agent Brian Sullivan of the State Bureau of Investigation.
The facts are there is a dead man, and a woman with a ball bat over him. I'm not on the jury, but there will be 12 folks there who will be her judge here on earth. In case you haven't read your Bible lately, the government is due the respect from those governed in order to keep law and order, and it has the power of Ceaser to take live and to judge. So, she will be judged, and likely sentenced.
For the rest of us, there is NO SIN in denouncing horrible actions and character in others. Jesus told the prostitute to go and sin no more. He didn't forgive her, and tell her to return to her old ways. We are all expected to learn from what goes on around us, to be examples, and to let others know that sinful and evil conduct is just that -EVIL.
And to the rest of you who can't write in plain english (DANCIN), please go learn how to write like an adult before posting in public. It's painful to read drivel like this.
Finally, I am sick to death of reading day after day about the trash of Robeson County shooting, clubbing, and knifing it out with each other. I don't care who the baby daddy is/was, who's sleeping with who, or what they decide to do to screw up their lives -- they have all made a decision to live like this-- no one forces it on anyone. And it should be judged and DENOUNCED by decent folk.
Lock and load everybody - the Robeson trash army is on the prowl.

I guess its ok to judge someone commenting on articles in the paper but we aren't supposed to call a killer a killer and trash... trash.
Jesus never said that we were supposed to walk around with the eyes that he gave us covered and were not supposed to acknowledge reality.
Christians must call evil evil and not try to make excuses for killers, rapists, and thieves.

Pull your head out of the sand and look the stats up by race on violent crime. This doesn't mean I hate you when stats prove that there is more violent crimes being commited around here by young black folks... Ooops, I said YOUNG, that means I hate young people... right? See how that works? Just because you point out something doesn't mean you HATE it. I don't hate blacks as you think, I'm concerned about what's going on. No, I'm not going to be a mentor, not gonna take one to raise, I've got my own family as do most around here. The responsibility is those two people that made that kid. Not the government or neighbors. So until YOUR leaders in YOUR community wake up, pull their heads out of the sand and speak out against this it will just continue to happen cause people wont talk about it cause YOU will call them a RACIST.
