To the Editor,
When my husband was serving his country in Cu Chi, Vietnam, with the U.S. Army, he had perhaps the chance of a lifetime to see celebrity Bob Hope, who was there touring with the USO, entertaining the troops. Because of the nature of his job, someone always had to be on duty. Even though he had rank, he was the one to volunteer to stay behind and be on duty. He didn’t get to see Bob Hope but that is the type of person he is. He puts others before himself.
I have many stories of my husband making personal sacrifices for others and you won’t hear any of them from him. He is a humble, dedicated Christian man who works hard serving the citizens of District 46. We can trust him with our vote and I was proud when I voted for my husband, G.L. Pridgen.
