Ruth Williams

Charlotte

Ruth Monroe M. Williams, of Charlotte, formerly of Laurinburg, died Dec. 8, 2012.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Faith CME Church in Charlotte, and at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at McZarn AME Church in Laurinburg. Burial will follow in St. Matthews Church Cemetery in Laurinburg.

The visitation will be 9 a.m today at Faith CME Church.

Willie McCoy

Fairmont

Willie Grace McCoy, 83, of 119 Stackhouse Road, died Dec. 4, 2012, at Southeastern Hospice House.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Oak Grove Baptist Church, the Revs. Wayne Baxter and James Malloy officiating.

She is survived by her sons, Lee Vernon McCoy, Leander McCoy, Harvey McCoy and Nevelle McCoy; a stepson, Richard McCoy; two daughters, Gloria Williams and Frances Gilchrist; a brother, Wakefield Thompson; a sister, Nancy Manning; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hills Funeral Home.

Joseph Chavis

Lumberton

Joseph Deon Chavis, 20, of 281 W. Powersville Road, died Dec. 4, 2012.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Revels Funeral Home Chapel in Lumberton, the Rev. William Lambert officiating.

He is survived by his parents, Richie Lee Chavis Sr. and Merlinda Rose Chavis of the home; and two brothers, Richie Lee Chavis Jr. and Casey Dean Chavis of Lumberton.

The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Revels Funeral Home Lumberton.

Carol Savage

Council

Carol DeCane Savage, 45, of Council, died Dec. 6, 2012.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Whites Creek Baptist Church, the Rev. Kincy Burrow officiating. Burial will follow in the Savage family cemetery.

She is survived by a daughter, Lauren Savage of the home; two brothers, Anthony Savage of Council and John Savage of Clarkton; and two sisters, Jenny Smith of Council and Melanie Howell of Clarkton.

The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home.

Eleanor Sinclair

Eleanor Fay Sinclair died.

A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. today at Pleasant View Cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Delanor Sinclair; a daughter, Lafay Young; and her parent, Elouise Currie.
