Break-ins
LUMBERTON — Mary Florence Thompson, of Highland Avenue, reported on Friday that someone broke into her home and stole a $400 television, assorted jewelry valued at $5,000 and medication valued at $30, according to a police report. Damage to a door was estimated at $30.
LUMBERTON — Douglas McMillian, of McMillian Funeral Home at 1980 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, reported on Saturday that someone broke into the business and stole two bicycles valued at $75, according to a police report. Damage to a garage door, two side doors, and a door frame was estimated at $850.
LUMBERTON — Jacqueline Crawford, of McCollum Street, reported on Saturday that someone destroyed the inside of her mobile home at Schoolview Mobile Home Park, according to a police report. The report said that someone knocked holes in the wall, pulled wiring from the walls and ripped up the carpeting. Damage to the home was estimated at $25,000.
Fraud
LUMBERTON — Sue Katzenberger, of Go-Gas at 2605 W. Fifth St., reported on Friday that a customer tried to pay with a counterfeit $10 bill, according to a police report.
Thefts
LUMBERTON — Lemore Smith, of Bakersfield Drive, reported on Monday that someone stole a $300 bicycle and a $150 radio from his front yard, according to a police report.
LUMBERTON — Jennifer Kohler, of Verizon Wireless at 3211 Fayetteville Road, reported on Saturday that a customer stole a $650 cell phone from the business, according to a police report. In a separate incidence, another store employee,
Aldrick Thomas, reported on Friday that a customer stole three cell phones valued at $750.
LUMBERTON — James Brandon Byrd, of Hardin Road, reported on Saturday that someone stole his 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche valued at $25,000 from his home, according to a police report.
Vandalism
LUMBERTON — Tracey Townsend, of Wilco Hess convenience store, reported on Monday that someone threw a brick through one of the business’ doors, causing $600 damage, according to a police report.
LUMBERTON — Vickie Carol Jones, of Smith Mill Road, reported on Monday that someone shattered the front window of her 2007 Ford Fusion that was parked at Hess Trade Wilco at 1703 W. Fifth St., causing $200 damage, according to a police report.
