MAXTON — Bobby Locklear, 62, of Maxton passed away Jan. 9, 2013.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Union Light Baptist Church. Burial will follow in church cemetery.

Bobby was born March 27, 1950, in Scotland County. He was the son of the late Smitty and Rosa Bell Locklear. He worked in construction, retiring after many years of service. He was talented with wood-working and cabinet-making. He enjoyed raising livestock and tinkering on cars. Bobby loved helping others in need.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ethel “Naomi” Locklear of the home; two sons, Gary W. Locklear and Tim Locklear, both of Maxton; a brother, Jerry Locklear and wife Annie Lois of Maxton; two sisters, Jessie Lee Locklear and husband Rufus of Gibson, Allene Barton and husband Charlie of Prospect; eight grandchildren, Casey, Kelly, Gary Jr., Shania, Alexis, Leeah, Damien, Devion; and a host of family and friends.

The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Union Light Baptist Church in Maxton.

Services entrusted to Richard Boles Funeral Service.
