LUMBERTON — A Proctorville man is facing drug charges after complaints of illegal drug activity led narcotics agents with the Sheriff’s Office to investigate.

Broderick Jones, 34, of 147 N. Spruce St., was arrested Jan. 22 in a lot near an area called The Pines and charged with possession with the intent to sell or deliver cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office, Jones possessed 11 grams of crack cocaine that were wrapped inside aluminum foil.

He was placed in the Robeson County jail under a $10,000 secured bond.

Prohibition isn't working. Drugs should be treated in a similar fashion to alcohol and tobacco. If that was the case, guys like this wouldn't be in the drug business, gangs would lose the majority of their funding, and the police could spend more time dealing with real crimes.

Why put him on a $10,000 bond? He's guilty and he deserves to be punished for his wrongful actions.

He should have no bond.. And when he's found guilty, lock him up for life without parole. This is how you put a stop to drugs, LIFE without parole, PERIOD.
