PEMBROKE — The Rev. Chester Chavis, a chaplain with Amesdisys Hospice Inc., will begin a 12-month term as chairperson of the Pembroke Housing Authority today.
Olivia Maynor Revels, owner and operator of Revels Funeral Home, was elected as vice chairperson when the Pembroke Housing Authority elected its new officials this past Monday. Revels has held both chairperson and vice-chairperson positions.
Lemark Harris will continue to hold his position as the secretary for the Board of Commissioners, which he has held since July 1, 1993. James Glenn Hammonds, owner and operator of Glenn’s Appliance Service in Pembroke, accepted a five-year term as a member of the board in January. That position was previously held by Joseph Milton Locklear.
