LUMBERTON — Johnny (Priar) Locklear, 64, of Lumberton, was born on Nov. 9, 1948 and passed away on March 14, 2013, at Southeastern Health.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Revels Funeral Home Chapel Lumberton, the Revs. Dr. Michael Cummings and Jimmy Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Burnt Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery

Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma McNeill Locklear; his father, Lonnie Locklear; a sister, Maurnice Hunt; and a brother, Alton Locklear.

Johnny enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching NASCAR every Sunday.

Johnny is lovingly remembered and survived by his daughter-in-law, Elisha Chavis Ammons; a cherished grandson, Logan Channing Chavis; a cherished grandson, Tristan Gaige Locklear; a cherished granddaughter, Tedalie Paige Locklear; a son, Johnny Ryain Ammons; three sisters, Louise Maynor, Carlan Locklear (Hosbie) and Vivian (Monk) Oxendine, all of Lumberton; three brothers, Bobby Locklear (Gail) of Pembroke, Jimmy Locklear (Clarice) of Pembroke and Billy Locklear (Lena) of Lumberton; a special niece, Bocandi Locklear; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Revels Funeral Home Lumberton.
