‘Faces’ topic

of discussion

PEMBROKE — The University of North Carolina at Pembroke will hold a discussion on the book “Faces in the Moon” on March 26 and April 2, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. each day in the regional center.

The informal discussions are designed to promote an appreciation for reading in general and of American Indian literature specifically. The meetings are open to anyone, and there is no cost. The space is limited to 15 people per discussion. Books will be available to check out.

to be honored

PEMBROKE — The University of North Carolina at Pembroke will be honoring its first black alumni on March 27 during its 125th anniversary.

The reception will be at 6 p.m. at the University Annex. It will be followed by a program at 6:30 p.m.
