FAYETTEVILLE — St. Pauls pitcher Danielle Smith had effective outings in the circle and at the plate in Wednesday's game against Seventy-First.

Smith gave up two hits over a complete game performance and went 2-for-5 with nine runs batted in a 22-8 win over the Falcons in Fayetteville.

Smith's two hits included a grand slam and a double, along with 14 strikeouts. Teammate Victoria Thacker went 3-6 with a triple and three runs batted in.

Jack Britt handles Bulldogs

ST. PAULS — A strong offensive start by Jack Britt was too much for the St. Pauls baseball team Thursday.

Jack Britt (6-3) scored eight runs in the first two innings of an 11-5 win over the Bulldogs (3-4). KJ McBride took the loss for St. Pauls.

The Bulldogs were led by Jhamel Leonard, who went 1-for-4 with a home run, and Joseph Walters, who went 1-for-1.
