LUMBERTON — Three men have been arrested and charged with drug crimes after complaints from nearby residents, according to Sheriff Kenneth Sealey.
Clinton Lambert, 37, and Dwayne Hunt, 19, both of 223 Hammonds Road, Lumberton, and Dustin Locklear, 21, of 543 Crenshaw Road, Lumber Bridge, were all arrested on Thursday, according to a sheriff’s report.
The arrests happened at Lambert and Hunt’s home after the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office received several calls about suspicious activity at the house, according to Sealey. The calls led to an investigation and surveillance of the home provided enough for a search warrant, Sealey said.
Each man was charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.
Additional charges against both Hunt and Lambert include conspiracy to sell and deliver cocaine, maintaining a drug dwelling, simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Hunt also had outstanding warrants for driving-related charges.
Hunt was being held under a $103,000 bond and Lambert was being held under a $75,000 bond, according to the report.
Locklear was also charged with conspiracy to sell and deliver cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and simple possession of marijuana. He was being held under a $5,000 bond, according to the report.
The Lumberton Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, the Internal Revenue Service, and U.S. marshals assisted deputies with the investigation.
Sealey said more arrests are expected.
