Christina “Tina” Jones Walters, 35, of Maxton, passed away on Nov. 6, 2012, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Antioch Baptist Church in Maxton. Burial will follow in Smiling family cemetery.
Christina was born Sept. 24, 1977, in Robeson County. She was the loving daughter of Mary Elizabeth Jones Smiling and Billy Ray Smiling. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family and others. She was a certified nursing assistant, serving with Caring Touch in Pembroke. She was a member of the Friendly Holiness Church. She enjoyed fishing and especially spending time with her family and friends.
Tina is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Walters; two daughters, Duchess Walters and Jasmine Walters, both of the home in Maxton; her parents, Mary Elizabeth Smiling and Billy Ray Smiling of Maxton; three sisters, Marquita Smiling and Angelica Smiling, both of Maxton, and Angelina Haggins of Red Springs; and a host of family and friends.
The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church.
Services entrusted to Richard Boles Funeral Service.
